A bunch of potential, hard lines are still waiting for a first ascent all around Maryland. The following is a selection of these infamous lines:
The Diary of a Madman - Great Falls
THE hard line to be done in the Maryland/Virginia area. This project climbs up a steep face on bad crimps and slopers. Not much information is known about the line but it is super sustained and will be most likely be anywhere in the V11-13 range.
Chaos Roof Direct - Northwest Branch
This project starts on Chaos Roof. Do the first move, then go straight up the face on really bad inverted holds. Probably the most cryptic and sequential of all projects, it will be very scary and hard and go at no less then V10.
Double Slap Express - Great Falls
This project starts as Double Slap but instead of exiting on the face, you continue to follow the prow all the way to the end, then top out using the arete. This will probably go at V10 and will be a VERY proud, scary line.
Slab near crystal tips - Northwest Branch
Not a great line, but different then the other boulders. Very technical, slippery slab climbing on non-holds. Still needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Will most likely go at V9-V11.

Hey there! I'm not sure if Double Slap Express was done yet but I put that down yesterday 2/20/11 after reading about it here and doing the original a few weeks ago. Can you let me know if this is still an FA?
